10. Trade
The world market forms a price for each good from supply and demand. In the Trade window you see prices, production and consumption and control your trade policy for each good.
| Tool | Range | Effect |
|---|---|---|
| Export ban | on/off | The good is no longer sold on the world market. |
| Export quota | 0–100 % | Limits the share of the surplus that is exported. |
| Tariff | 0–50 % | Makes imports more expensive, lowers demand and brings in revenue. |
| Reserve | −50 to +50 % | Build up stockpiles or release them during shortages. |
Supply contracts
- Term of 5 years, price 3 % below the world market price at signing.
- Up to 50 % of the volume is possible.
- The relationship must be at least −10. Signing improves it by 5 for both sides.
- Computer-controlled states that import a good can make requests to players.
Units can also be sold. The price is shown before you confirm.
